For over 20 years, Ya-Roni Prather dedicated her life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse. But alongside her passion for healthcare, she carried another dream. One filled with laughter, wonder, and the pure joy that only a child tearing open a toy can bring. Fun and Giggle Toys is that dream, finally realized.

What started as an online store run out of her home has grown into something far bigger than even Ya-Roni imagined. Fueled by an unwavering belief in her vision and the encouragement of a community that embraced her from day one, Fun and Giggle Toys is now opening its very first brick-and-mortar storefront in Cockeysville, Maryland. From a spare room to a real storefront, this is what happens when passion meets perseverance.

Ya-Roni watched something disappear quietly over the years. The neighborhood toy store where a knowledgeable, friendly face helped you find exactly the right gift, where kids could browse with wide eyes and parents felt genuinely helped, became a thing of the past. Big box stores offer walls of products but little warmth. Online shopping offers convenience but zero connection. Ya-Roni saw the gap and decided to fill it herself.

Ya-Roni has always believed that a healthy community takes care of its own, and that belief shows up in everything she does. From day one, Fun and Giggle Toys has donated a portion of every purchase to the Maryland Food Bank. She didn't wait until success to start giving back. That was never an afterthought. Every toy purchased truly does feed a neighbor.
